We’re a Hispanic/Latinx owned and run agency working with CEO’s, executive teams, marketing teams, HR, development teams, digital media teams, and other professionals to support digital campaigns, virtual video productions, live video broadcasting, audio production, social media ads & organic storytelling, television and radio commercials (broadcast and streaming), gaming video ads, and other emerging digital and tech solutions to support organizations’ operations online. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN…
Goodspero was born in January 2012, receiving much of its support and mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs at the University of Houston’s Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the C.T. Bauer College of Business in Houston, Texas.
Before starting Goodspero, co-founders Jessica Bolaños and Nelson Vanegas each gained over 10+ years of multimedia marketing and production experience in radio, TV, digital/social media, marketing and commercial advertisement. They’ve worked extensively and gained experience alongside various local and national organizations.
In August 2012, with seed funding assistance from friends, families and complete strangers, Goodspero launched a crowd-sourced/crowdfunded project to build micro-libraries in Colombia, South America, bringing books and educational resources to youth in remote and under-resourced areas.
The following year, launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to bring books and resources to youth in El Salvador, Central America. (Background note on our founders: Jessica’s family immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia in the 1970s, Nelson and his family immigrated to the U.S. from El Salvador during the civil war in the early 80s.)
While promoting crowdfunding projects and hosting free sessions to teach community members how to crowdfund and how social media is used in campaigns (as this was fairly new at the time), nonprofit leaders began asking us for help teaching their leadership teams how to use digital and social media to reach organizational and departmental goals, as well as consulting their C-Suite executives on how to manage social platforms as thought leaders and as a form of connecting and engaging with the communities they serve.
Since 2014, Goodspero has been working alongside various organizations interested in using video and digital media by way of 2 main focus areas:
1—Content Marketing: digital, videos, social media support, consulting
2—Social Impact: culture, professional development sessions/trainings for C-Suite executives, HR, marketing, development and other teams.
