FAQs

1Why wouldn’t I just hire a full-time content team?

Great question! For starters, the annual cost of a good full-time senior-level video producer is around $90,000+, plus benefits (and it’s a challenge to find a good one available that will stick around for the long haul). Aside from that, 1 videographer (or social media manager) doesn't have enough bandwidth to strategically plan, record, edit, and publish multiple pieces of ongoing video content alone. If they're doing it all, they're overworked and overwhelmed! Burnout is real and why content teams have high turnover rates. This is a team effort so we bring more team members to the table with each package/project.

2Is there a limit to how many video requests I can have with a subscription package?

Once subscribed, you're able to add as many video editing requests to your queue as you'd like, and they will be scheduled and delivered each month. For polished, more complex video editing, we work on one video at a time. Once you approve a video completed, we begin working on the next edit in your queue. The exact quantity of videos edited can vary based on the complexity of your videos. Some teams care more about quantity and less about intricate editing requests and revisions, preferring to publish more short-form videos, while other teams prefer more crafted, long-form videos with several revision requests even if that means less output. To resonate with general audiences we typically recommend "real" over highly produced, especially on social media, but ultimately it's your call and your brand.

3How fast will I receive my videos?

Short and simple social media videos can be completed in 1-5 days with/without revisions. However, more polished or complex editing requests like brand videos or videos with multiple speakers, multiple camera angles, b-roll and/or scripts can take longer. Turnaround times vary per project but we deliver the first draft within 7 business days. Some teams take their time to craft and revise complex brand videos for 4-8 weeks and others requesting simple social media clips without revisions receive 10-20+ videos each month. It depends on the complexity of the videos and editing request(s).

4Who are the producers?

Goodspero is an agency led by two senior creatives, Jess & Nelson (more in our About page). This means you'll work directly with us, the co-founders of Goodspero. We oversee all projects. Some requests and projects often include our trusted team members and partners as well, each of whom specializes in one piece of the production or publishing process.

5How does cancelling a subscription work?

We understand you may not have enough video work to fill up an entire year. Maybe you only have 1 project - in that case we suggest the ESSENTIALS Package for single projects. Maybe you only have 2 busy quarters - in that case we suggest the GROWTH or IMPACT Packages for as many months as you need. That's where cancelling your subscription comes in handy. Let's say you sign up for the monthly billed GROWTH Package or the monthly billed IMPACT Package. You then decide to cancel your subscription before it renews. This means that the next billing cycle will be cancelled and you'll have as many days of service remaining through the end of your monthly or quarterly subscription. Cancelling and restarting your subscription is the responsibility of your team and can be done through your Stripe merchant portal.

6What programs do you use?

Most complex and custom brand requests are edited using Adobe Premiere. For quick turnaround social media clips, we can also use our AI-powered editing software.

7How do I request videos in a subscription package?

We offer a ton of flexibility in how you request videos using our easy to use, drag and drop, cloud-based project management system. Some common ways clients request videos is directly via the system, sharing Google docs or video file links there, or even recording an instructional brief audio or video (for those who prefer not to write their briefs out). Basically, if it can be linked to or shared in our system, it works.

8What if I don’t like the video?

If you have a subscription with us, no worries! We'll continue to revise the video until you're 100% satisfied. If you're working with us on a single project, you have 2 rounds of collective revisions to make sure everything aligns with your vision. It's very rare to request more than 2 rounds of revisions with our team. But if something changes unexpectedly, additional rounds of revisions can be purchased (for around $200-300). For more complex changes such as deciding to go in a completely new direction that requires a rework, additional editing costs may apply, but we'll always confirm with you first.

9Is there any video work you don’t do?

Absolutely. Goodspero does not produce the following video work under our subscription model: movies/films, music videos, weddings, quinceñeras, or other non B2B videos that are not aligned with our work or that may cause harm to others. We do work on individual and long-term projects like docuseries and documentaries. Send us a message and we'd be happy to chat more.

10What if I only have a single request?

For single project requests, choose the first package (ESSENTIALS). There you can select recording-only, editing-only, or both recording and editing. You can always return when you have additional video needs. As an alternative, check out our quote calculator for estimated instant quotes on single projects with custom variable costs like full day recordings, multi-day recordings, etc. You can find the link to our quote calculator at the bottom of our pricing page.

11Are there any refunds if I don’t like the service?

Due to the high-quality nature of the work, and the time blocked off in our team's production calendars from pre-production (planning & prep) through production (recording), post-production (editing), and distribution (publishing), there will be no refunds issued. If you have a subscription and forget to cancel before it renews, we offer a 3-day grace period, as long as no work is being done after your subscription renewal.

12How much creative input do we have in the video production process?

We encourage collaboration and want to ensure your brand's voice is clearly represented. We always ask for your brand guide and work with you and your team on content messaging for the first set of videos to make sure everything is to your liking. After that, most of our clients prefer to be hands off, saving everyone time.

13Do you provide assistance with strategy and distribution/publishing?

The ESSENTIALS Package (single projects) offer 1 video strategy session/pre-production call to clarify goals and ensure your message resonates. The GROWTH and IMPACT Packages both offer Quarterly Strategy Calls with regular updates. The IMPACT Package includes a VIP Onboarding Session with your leadership team to align video content strategies with your mission. We also offer one-time strategy services as a stand alone service. 14How do you handle confidentiality and proprietary information?

We take confidentiality seriously. Working with media orgs, tech companies, and impact organizations with government-funded programs for 20+ years, we get it. All information shared with us is kept strictly confidential, and we’re open to signing NDA agreements - yours and/or ours. Just ask and you got it.

15Can you accommodate rush requests?

The IMPACT Package includes Priority Access: Guaranteed availability for urgent/last-minute projects, and a Fast Turnaround Guarantee: 48–72 hour delivery for urgent projects, free of charge. We guarantee to prioritize your urgent requests and deliver urgent projects within 48–72 hours, or you get 10% off that month. For ESSENTIALS and GROWTH Packages we take on rush requests based on availability for an additional fee. Please communicate your deadlines upfront, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs. Additional fees apply for expedited services outside of the IMPACT package.

16What do you mean by high-quality video?

We work in resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD (High-Definition) and we can export multiple resolutions like the popular 1920x1080 HD for social media content. Of course this also means we record high-quality video and audio. As technology has advanced, we sometimes record high-quality mobile video and encourage our clients to do the same when recording solo for social media. In fact, highly-produced and polished content does worse on some social platforms and with certain audiences. We hash out all these details during strategy sessions.

17Does your team create content in other languages?

Yes! As content creators raised in the US with family roots in LATAM, English is our first language and we can create bilingual content in English and Spanish. We also have experience working with diverse creatives to create content in other languages too. As a bonus, our AI-powered content tools now allow us to translate content into multiple languages. We can even create an AI digital twin of you or one of your team members so you can speak to multinational teams and customers in multiple languages too! We'll have you fluent in multiple languages in just 2 hours! Just ask and we'll explore opportunities!

18Do you do meetings?

Short answer: Yes. We also know time is valuable and we're here to give you and your team back some of yours. 71% of professionals lose time every week due to canceled or unnecessary meetings so we keep them to a minimum after our initial content strategy session(s).
